Wisconsin law mandates that only a lawyer who has passed the exceptionally difficult requirements for board certification by the a board that is accredited by the American Bar Association may lawfully call himself a “specialist.” In the specialty of drunk driving defense, the ABA accredited board is the National College for DUI Defense (note that drunk driving defense is recognized as a separate specialty from criminal law).
Andrew Mishlove is Wisconsin’s only board certified drunk driving defense specialist. He is known nationally as one of the preeminent lawyers in this field.
